Five Wins This Week from The Real Frugalist
- Only spent $62 at the grocery store! We ate from what we had in the house, planned our menu, and just picked up sale items.
- Apples and pears are our fruits right now—seasonal, fresh, and affordable.
- Baked my own hearty wheat bread. A loaf like that is $5+ at the store—homemade tastes better and saves cash.
- Looked into switching our phones to Consumer Cellular. Both phones are paid off, and once I confirm they’re unlocked, we’ll save about $40 a month. Solid win!
- Seed saving from my marigolds—and wow, did I get a ton! I’ll tuck them into next year’s veggie garden to keep pests away. Free seeds = free flowers = frugal joy.
And a bonus: my daughter scored winter coats last March on clearance at BJ’s. My granddaughter’s coat is a two-piece, so no fall coat needed. Nice!
Little things add up to big savings. What were your wins this week?
