Avoiding Online Shopping Mistakes: Peach Edition
Behold… the number ten can of peaches — my latest “whoops.” I thought I was ordering a case of regular cans. Instead, one industrial-sized vat of Del Monte peaches showed up at my door like it was ready to supply a diner breakfast buffet.
After my initial “how did this even happen?” moment, I drained them (saving the syrup, because I just know I’ll think of something), and honestly? It’s not even that many peaches once you get the juice out. Enough for a hearty peach cobbler and maybe a little something extra for lunch.
And I figured out how I did it, too — the big can was $6.48, the case was over $10, and my frugal little brain must’ve just gone, “Ooh, cheaper!” without noticing the fine print. Classic me.
Moral of the story: read the details and the size before clicking “add to cart,” friends.
On a plus note now we are having peach cobbler for dessert today. That is a pretty big plus if you ask me. P.S. What am I going to do with all that peach syrup, I did save it.
